Summary
We partnered with Houston Dynamo, a Major League Soccer team, to elevate their Match Day content strategy through dynamic social media and UGC-driven storytelling. This campaign-based project focused on energizing fans, increasing real-time engagement, and amplifying in-stadium excitement across platforms.
Our primary focus was to create short-form, high-impact content for Instagram and TikTok, while also sourcing and curating user-generated content to reflect the passion of the fanbase. This effort resulted in a 33% increase in match day social media engagement, higher content shares, and stronger connections with the local community.
Challenge
Houston Dynamo sought to improve their Match Day social media presence to better capture the energy of the stadium and expand fan engagement online. Prior to our involvement, most content was reactive, static, or lacked the emotional pull and virality of modern sports marketing.
The internal team was stretched thin on game days, making it difficult to produce and post timely content while also managing behind-the-scenes operations. They needed a strategic partner who could bring both creative direction and hands-on execution to deliver content that resonated with fans—and helped the team stand out in a crowded entertainment landscape.
Solutions
We developed a real-time content strategy for game days, focused on capturing in-the-moment footage, fan reactions, and behind-the-scenes energy. Our team produced short-form vertical videos optimized for Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, and TikTok, while also coordinating with fans and stadium staff to collect and repost user-generated content throughout the day.
Using a rapid content pipeline, we edited and published branded videos within hours of kickoff, allowing Houston Dynamo to stay timely, relevant, and discoverable. We also created pre-set visual templates for player highlights, fan moments, and score updates to streamline content delivery.
